European Shale Gas is still an Opportunity, say Analysts


Market research and consulting firm Frost and Sullivan says shale gas exploration in Europe might still open up the market for pump manufacturers, despite the continuing threat of heavy government regulation.
Hydraulic fracturing used to extract shale gas raises lots of environmental concerns, and countries such as France and the Netherlands have banned shale gas exploration altoghter.

However, Frost and Sullivan says there is still opportunity for pump manufacturers in Ukraine, Poland, and Romania, where companies such as Royal Dutch Shell and ConocoPhillips have active exploration projects.
