The best nuclear energy stocks to buy today may surprise you.

best nuclear energy stocks

And I’ll explain why in just a moment. But first, consider this number…

$900 Million.

That’s how much nuclear power startup Pacific Fusion landed last week as it seeks to commercialize its nuclear fusion technology.

While no fusion power plants exist today, it’s often been considered the “holy grail” for nuclear energy bulls.

If you’re unfamiliar, a nuclear fusion reaction happens when two light nuclei merge to form a single heavier nucleus.

To put it simply, this is essentially the reaction that powers the sun. When properly harnessed, it can be used to create a limitless source of energy on Earth. In fact, according to the U.N.’s International Atomic Energy Agency, nuclear fusion could generate 4 million times more energy than burning coal or oil.

It’s also far safer than traditional nuclear fission, which produces radioactive waste that, despite world governments’ best efforts, creates an inconvenient safety and security risk. And because fusion is not based on a chain reaction like we see with fission, nuclear accidents are not possible.

Of course, while deep-pocketed investors have ponied up more than $7 billion this year to get an early piece of the nuclear fusion market, for retail investors, there’s just no money in it yet.

This doesn’t mean nuclear fusion will never happen. It probably will. But it’ll take decades. And I don’t know about you, but I don’t have decades to wait. Not when there are highly profitable nuclear energy opportunities available to us right now.

Are these the best nuclear energy stocks?

Just a few weeks ago, Google (NASDAQ: GOOG) announced it was buying a small fleet of Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) to power its data centers.

Prior to that, Oracle (NYSE: ORCL) announced it’s in the process of designing a new data center powered by three SMRs.

In India, officials are moving forward on the construction of 50 SMRs.

And the U.S. Export-Import Bank recently approved nearly $100 million to support a new SMR project in Romania.

There’s a common theme in those announcements: SMRs.

If you’re a regular reader of these pages, you know that when it comes to the best nuclear energy stocks, we’ve been very bullish on the SMR market. And of course, have helped many of our readers make a lot of money by investing in the only SMR stock that we believe is worth your time.

To be sure, it’s not really an SMR company. It’s actually a small tech firm that produces the fuel required to make SMRs work.

So while the big tech firms are ponying up billions of dollars to secure their own SMRs to power their data centers (which are the backbone of their power-hungry AI efforts), they’re also in need of the fuel to power those SMRs.

It’s funny, but when people talk about opportunities in AI, I don’t think about Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA) or Palantir (NYSE: PLTR). I think about this single SMR nuclear fuel stock that will fuel all future AI efforts —and at a hefty premium.

It’s pretty much a no-brainer. And I highly recommend you get some of this action for yourself now. Because every time a new SMR deal is announced, this stock goes higher.

To a new way of life and a new generation of wealth…
